We hope to fly over mid July. My wife was over in February for dental treatment and hopes to go back early to mid June to finish her treatment.

I'm waiting until it all settles down, no turning away at airports. And I have such a lot to do when I get over there !!

Early next year for us at the moment. May have a change of mind in the Autumn but it will be a last minute decision.

We're currently booked for early August but am probably going to change (again) to next year - the uncertainty is killing us. And what if you do your test in either direction and one of you shows positive? And how much are the tests anyway?! I could be looking at an extra £600 based on some quotes I've seen! It's stressful thinking about it. And then the longer we leave it the less there'll be available back here in the UK and the harder for our host owner to be able to relist and get someone else in! It's such a quagmire! Do we think Spain will be on the Green List any time soon?

On Sky news today PM asking folks 'not' to fly to Spain as its to much of a risk, although hopefully with our great UK vaccine roll out, and Spain getting more vaccines in, it could end up on green list by June 21st.. Nicke we have booked 12 weeks from end of Feb, so by then things should be much clearer for us, but for now its blooming 2 PCR tests and 10 days locked in when you get back, Malaga airport doing tests around €58 then you use UK Gov web site to book UK tests before you fly home, all adds to expense of holiday, however if you own property out there and can stay for a month, UK lock down should be at an end and maybe no PCR's required, all up in the air!! Robert hope your wife gets out without any hassle as she has medical reason, Pm to advise more by June 14th, could be good news all round.. DD & Neil, hope if you decide to go later in the year its all plain sailing for you too.. Roll on normality

I wouldn't mind - if they said that a lateral flow test was ok then it'd be fine as we have boxes of them via our local school but the PCR tests are not cheap. I have however just read that children under 11 don't need a test, so it would be just the wife and I. It's so hard trying to decide what's best to do. And obviously everything could change in either direction in the next two months!

The "DIY"lateral flow tests are no good as you need a signed certificate so you need to go to a clinic (results in about 20 mins). Prices vary depending on where you go. The airport seems cheapest.

So we decided to postpone (again)! Have rebooked with the same owner for the same time next year. I'm gutted as I totally miss Benal but there's just too much uncertainty right now for me.

Aaaaggghhh!. EasyJet have cancelled my flight. EasyJet's last flight in June from Manchester to Malaga is 8th June ( same day as my second jab). Ryanair have daily flights from Manchester but not really sure how many of those will actually fly. As Fagin said I am reviewing the situation even options such as Gib, or even Faro , then Malaga via Madrid!

Chawky have you made a decision about a flight, its all so iffy at the moment, although friends in Benal have said some tourists have arrived, but its still quiet Nicke its hard to know which way to go, but if you do not feel 100% about going then best to re book, we are not going out until end of Feb, as we are staying 12 weeks, all flights booked & apartment, so its just wait and see, praying there is no 3rd wave.. Take Care..xx

Mrs L arrived in Benalmádena last Sat morning. No pcr needed just track and trace form with QR code. Was asked if she was resident ( she's not) and purpose of her visit at customs. On return she has to have an Antigen test which can be got at the airport for €25 or €30/35 in Arroyo and proof of day 2 and day 8 test ( which she has) plus, quarantine for 10 days. We booked day 2 and 8 home kit tests from Randox for £120 which was supposed to be half price using a, Ryanair code however when I checked today those tests are now reduced to £48 each or £96 total. She has been to the dentist once and has one final visit! I hope) next week.

Robert pleased Mrs L had no problems on arrival at Malaga, shame its such a palavar for her when she returns, hope her second dentist visit goes well. B.T i did see on F.B on Friday Easy Jet were cancelling flights, and hoped it wasn't on your dates, were you offered any alternatives dates near to 6th which you could take, or are you waiting until things become a bit more clearer, have to say I'm getting fed up now of all the Covid rules and really hoped June 21st was the end to it, if only the boarders had been closed to flights from India as soon as the cases there increased dramatically, we would be out of this horrible mess, so blooming angry with Boris & Co!! and feel so sorry for everyone missing their holidays because of it ! Take Care..xx

Hello all! Robert, hope Mrs L is okay and her treatment is over soon.
When we were notified of our cancelled July flight, my first thought was "Oh good!" Missing Benal but I couldn't face the testing, QR codes, more flipping quarantine and of course, the airport upon return to the UK. So we haven't even looked for another July flight! Perhaps just as well after looking at the news today.............can't wait to hear what Boris has to say this evening!
Relieved that we have a good cleaner and he visits our apartment monthly. So far so good!
And to cap it all in June, England cricket team was pathetic!
To those of you who do manage to get to our little bit of Paradise, have a fabulous time and don't forget to post on the Forum!
Fond regards to you all, Keep safe! BT.
