A announcement this morning from the Benalmádena Palace and the Sentido hotels.
On our way back to normal life, we are happy to anounce that both our Hotels, SENTIDO Hotel Benalmadena Beach and Benalmadena Palace Apartments and SPA are planning to re-open in june 2020 and we will have some outstanding offers for you this year. Both hotels will be completely updated with all necessary COVID-19 measures, such as service to the table in the restaurants, safety distance of 1,50m everywhere in the hotel, contactless check-in etc. etc. etc.
So we hope to be able to welcome everybody soon and that also all our friends from the UK, Ireland and all over the world will be able to sit in a plane towards sunshine Costa del Sol soon!!!
Kind regards everybody! #staysafe #WaitingForYou #Summer2020

I thought I’d read today that although hotels will probably open by then, travel from abroad will not be allowed at that time nor will travel from other parts of Spain.
It begs the question who will be using them?

I did wonder about that. Perhaps they are aiming at a Spanish Market or other European countries. Borders are still closed with no mention of opening dates. Also the biggest land border is with France who are in just as bad a position as Spain. Possibly the ploy is to try and encourage people to book ahead towards the later part of the year in the hope that borders are opened then. They also probably need some cash flow.
