Good morning Ken. I read this morning that Spain will not enforce 2 weeks quarantine from July 1st. However things change overnight in Spain, not only country-wide but from region to region. Still no information about hotels opening, pools open etc. If you read Rosebush's posts on the Corona virus thread there is some good info there as she is a diamond for posting the latest from Benal itself! Our June flight has been cancelled and the next trip is due 7th July, so fingers crossed. I am so "homesick" for Benal!!
Robert may also have more info than the crumb I have just offered!! He is a mine of information! Kind regards, stay safe, BT.

Hi Ken.
I can't give you much more info at present. Like BT has said international travel will be allowed from July with quaranteen restrictions removed. I have heard that there will be some restrictions one of which is that only tourists from certain countries may be admitted. I don't know if the UK is on that list but at the present time I would say it's doubtful unless figures drop drastically in the U K so fingers crossed. We move to phase 2 next week which means freedom of movement within Malaga Province. Restaurants and bars allowed to use indoor seating at 30 / 50 %. Meeting in groups of up to 15 people whilst somehow keeping to the 2 mtr rule. Shops opening Shopping centres opening partially ( I think 30%) Small outdoor concerts allowed with audience capped at 400,seating only and keeping social distance.
As towns and cities get busier I can't see how this Social Distancing at 2 mtrs is going to work. I think it's virtually impossible to apply it all the time.
I'll update when I know more.

Thank you Robert! I doubt if they will let us Brits in for a while yet. Already convinced ourselves that we will not be going in July but it will be a bonus if we can. Completely agree about social distancing but Spain needs tourism. Kind regards, BT.

I don’t want to dampen anyone’s enthusiasm but as things stand at the moment won’t people be travelling against government advice which would negate any travel insurance claims?

Its expected (?) when Boris makes his speech today airbridges will be in place with some countries, so quarantine for those will be lifted, I'm sure Spain will be one of the countries :-))
Our insurance ran out weeks ago, so we are travelling home *first time ever* without private Ins, but EHIC is still valid until Dec 31st..
We have seen many more tourists about today, had to queue in all shops, plus its San Juan tomorrow so shops will be closed (some part of day) so more Spanish shopping as well, parties on the beach ie BBQ's etc have been banned, but cannot see all Spanish letting San Juan pass without having all day picnics, drinks & music the beach, however over weekend social distance was maintained all along the beach, and Security Guards were doing walks from Bil Bil to Marina, so if everyone is sensible all should be well..x

We are usually in Benal for San Juan...........😢😢😢 Booked flights (eventually) for the 17th July with BA from Gatwick. A mere £480 for the two of us!!!!!!!!! That's the same amount we paid for 4 flights with easyJet!!! I don't care, I just want to go "home"! Took ages to find seats as nearly all flights are full. I was getting to the stage where I was prepared to hang onto the aircraft's tail to get there. Keeping our fingers crossed........
Rosebush, thank you again for your updates on this board and personal message to me. Love to buy you a Cava one day!! BT.

Hallo Btereniaf,so pleased you managed to get flights,at the moment it’s supply and demand prices we are having to pay,I would imagine they are trying to recoup to reduce losses during Covid! Take care and enjoy.

Ken its great news, I'm sure Spain will be on the list and its much better to know you are not flying against FCO rules, as I presume that request for countries in air corridors will not apply..
B.T so pleased you got a flight as well, everything is open, so hope you both have safe journey's..xx
