Like Robert's daughter we too are at the halfway stage of quarantine! Friends ask us if it was worth it....you bet it was!
So Spain is on another State of Alarm and I think we all wait to see what the different autonomous regions will decide. The curfew will affect the big restaurants/bars but when we were in Benal there was virtually no-one on the streets after 10pm. Our next planned trip with Easyjet is in November and we are being open-minded about whether we will get there. Safety of everyone comes first.
It's a bit weird that small groups cannot meet up but you can go to an airport, get on an aircraft with up to 100 other people, spend 3 hours on the aircraft and then disembark with your fellow passengers. Just thinking out loud...........!!
Keep safe everyone! Fond regards, BT.

B.T I'm a bit confused now about mask wearing on outside terraces, do you have to keep mask on between taking sips of your drink, or pausing over your meal i felt quite safe sitting 1.5mts from anyone else, and bars have really worked hard to get and keep all rules in place, although the odd one may have lapsed.. The 11pm curfew sounds a good thing as will stop youngsters mixing to closely after a few drinks but they could just as easy carry parties on at home, if they can all get a bed for the night! B.T post if your flight is still going ahead, both Ryanair & Easyjet seem to be flying into Malaga..x

I'm following developments via El Pais on-line. I very much doubt if we will get there next month but feel for all the businesses who are going to be affected. I can't see Spain not following France and Germany when Spain has so many cases. Returning to the masks issue.....!! We wore masks all the time until we were seated in a restaurant or bar and put them back on to go to the loo. On easyJet I wore my mask between sips!
Interesting turn of events in the Labour Party.
Sad events in France.
Take care all, BT.X

Thanks Rosebush. My husband and I (oh! that sounds regal!) have been discussing our November trip and we have decided not to go. Our friends returned from Benal on Thursday and said even more places had closed since we left and it was painfully quiet in our little area. As things are looking bleak both here and in Spain it might be foolhardy to make the trip. Whilst I love our apartment I don't think I want to spend two weeks in it reading and listening to music! Or longer if we can't get back. Anyway I think the decision is the right one. As for Luton...............been there once and vowed never to go again! Feel so sorry for all the staff, cabin crew etc; at Gatwick which was pretty desolate when we flew out on October 8th.
Been listening to Pete Frampton! Anyone remember him???!!!
3 days of quarantine left!
Take great care everyone. Fond regards, BT. X

Show Me The Way comes to mind, BT. Judging by the news this morning it looks as if the decision was going to be made for you by our government anyway.

Yep!! Apparently our local supermarkets were mobbed this morning. I'm pleased I'm in quarantine! But I hate shopping anyway! The perfect wife!!!!!!!!!!!
Pete Frampton is a favourite of ours! Went to see him in concert a few years ago. He was brilliant. And was completely bald.............very different from my pin-up from ***** years ago with his long flowing locks!
Think we will need a new thread soon. Sadly.
I will try to keep to the subject matter next time!
Keep safe everyone.
Fond regards, BT.

So shocked we are back in lock down, and folks will miss out on hols to Benal, such a shame when all it takes is to follow the rules still hoping to take our trip end of Feb, B.T let us know if you get any emails from Easyjet, maybe they will transfer your booking to next Month or even Jan 2021, yesterdays weather cams showed mid 20's, and same for next few days, so anyone in CDS will be enjoying the sunshine hopefully any long stayers will have made it out there during last week, so the bars will get some income.. Stay safe..x
