Hi everyone it has been so good to read all the latest news from Benal - it’s great that some of you are still able to visit. We have not been out since February and we are really missing it.
I believe our non residents tax return is due but we can’t get over to sort it out. Has anyone used Taxodora to file their returns? They look a good option but I’d like some recommendations if possible?

Hi Mags!
One of the main reasons for us going out during this flipping Covid crisis was to sort out our NR Tax. (And to enjoy the sunshine, beach, walks, great food, fantastic company) It took us until our last working day on our October trip as our Fiscal rep had problems getting appointments at the Town Hall since August (and he's Spanish!) I will look out for posts on this subject as I found it very stressful not being able to pay our bills!

Thanks bt. I did do it through a place in Arroya last year but still needed to be there to take the papers down and then pay it at the bank! It was fairly straightforward but as I say we can’t get out just yet. May have to bite the bullet and get our solicitor to do it - so expensive though!

Hi Mags. I usually do our own non residents tax but I use the company below for my rental tax returns. They calculate the tax, I transfer the money and they pay the bill. One lady is English and her name is Joh so there's no language problems. Might be worth giving her a ring or drop an email enquiring about their fees. Email is att.johsmith@outlook.es  |

You have just reminded me- Joh is supposed to be getting a duplicate copy of our IBI bill when she goes to the town hall. I will email her and ask her how things are going!

Latest update! Joh finally managed to get the IBI and has worked out the tax due - it appears that the base rate percentage has gone up from 1.1% to 2%!!!
Anyway we are extremely pleased with the professionalism and service from Joh. She has answered all my queries promptly and I can recommend!

Thanks mags! Glad you got it sorted. I just fail to understand why the Town Hall has made it so complicated! We used to get our IBI from the bank or it was on a direct debit statement from the Town Hall. Now we have to pay someone to get it!!! Hey ho!!

All done and paid! Quite agree BT it really shouldn’t have to be so complicated! But Spain have never been known to make things easy!!
