Oh No!! sorry Jan flight cancelled already, any alternative dates offered B.T.. I was shocked Kent went into Tier 3 so was Son & family, like us they only go out 1hr a day for exercise, and G.Daughter to school, all masked up! Work's out now nearly half of the country will be in tier 3, yet folks can still do as they like for 5days over Xmas, really hope figures do not rise again, i feel so sad when i hear on news each day, how many have died from this horrible virus We had Covid tests last week, only done for people without symptoms, both negative, horrible test to have kept choking! Cannot wait for Easter when hopefully we will see light at the end of the tunnel and loads of posts on life in Benal Stay Safe everyone..xx

Our next trip was to bd on Jan 29th but Easyjet cancelled those flights about three weeks ago. We changed the dates to the next available flight which was a week later on the 5th Feb. Fingers crossed.
We are back into a kind of semo lockdown from midnight tonight for the next two weeks with bars, cafes non essential shops and close contact services having to close again. The towns were mental this week as it looked like half the country were out shopping for Christmas presents before lock down.it may just have actually made things worse although I heard tonight that our numbers have come down to below those of both England and Wales. However the fear is that everything here will close again in January. I guess time will tell.

Hello all! Booked for 4th February.....watch this space! Sorry to hear about NI's semi-lockdown, hope you got the Christmas shopping done Robert! We come out of lockdown on the 2nd Dec and then into Tier 2 so at least shops will re-open. I dislike shopping at the best of times but next week will be hellish in our local shopping centres. I've offered everyone money this year..............grandchildren are delighted but their parents are bigger kids than they are and prefer pressies! Anyone else out there with plans to return to Benal? I've been looking at the webcams fairly often and am still saddened to see so few people about. Has anyone seen the video of the Christmas lights in Malaga? Beautiful. Take care all and keep safe. Fond regards, BT.

Fingers crossed for your February trip, BT. Here in Manchester we are still amongst the great unwashed.
At this time of year we are normally spending a few weeks in Benal but we’re not really sure whether we are missing it or not. We like to travel around the area by bus, train and car and we like to socialise in the evenings (to be fair I do most of the socialising), none of which are of course possible at the moment.
The new Tier 2 pub arrangements have at least given me a laugh. We should be proud of our politicians who have extended drinking up time from 10pm to 11pm and at the same time banned people from having anything to drink after finishing a meal. I think people are going to have to learn to eat VERY slowly.

Good to hear from Neil! Neil, I have to say that we are relieved not to be able to travel to Benal this month (November). Although I miss our home there it just wouldn't be the same without the socialising aspect. A friend in Torremolinos sends us photos of closed bars, deserted streets and empty trains. He really should get a life! We also like to go into Malaga to see the Christmas lights although last year I had a panic attack due to the sheer number of people....I couldn't move and was scared of getting crushed underfoot. From the video I've seen there are not as many folk there this year but at least they are masked up. Agree with you about our politicians and the crazy rules, although I wouldn't want to be in their shoes!! Our Borough has one of the highest infection rates in the country but we are lumped in with the rest of London and therefore on Tier 2. You couldn't make it up.................. Take care all and keep safe, Kind regards, BT. X

Its lovely to read of booked flights, hope we all make it out to Benal has planned, we have not booked yet but still hopeful for start of March, fingers crossed in next 3 months we see a huge roll out of the vaccine and numbers of new cases falling.. Robert sorry NI back in semi lockdown, we come out of ours on Dec 2nd, then into tier 3, but think non essential shops open, i am finding it hard to keep up, Robert does this mean for you d.lessons are on hold again? Just checked cams and folks on the beach so must be warm out there, i know last few days have been a bit grim weather wise, and with 6pm closing don't know how bar's will fare over next few weeks, but very pleased they are all adapting to new menu's, and doing earlier quiz/bingo sessions for customers, just hope folks are keeping their distance so numbers fall and changes may happen in Dec.. Neil to enjoy a drink or two in your local you will need to keep one chip on your plate and don't let the waitress remove it Just been reading we are advised not to stay in shops more than 15mins, suits me as i cannot cope indoors with the masks for any longer, but in tier 3 from Wednesday, i can get my hair done, nails done, have a massage and a tattoo, surely none of those can be done in 15minutes Enjoy your day stay safe..xx
