Just wondered what everyone's thoughts are on the Covid vaccine, chatting by phone to 2 friends today and both said no way would they have the vaccine, yet they both have the flu jab, hubby and myself if offered the vaccine would say yes we are 71 & 73, in this age group we are 4th on the list of roll out requirements, if offered would you have the vaccine? x

Yes we both would! We are both in our 70’s. I am on the NHS vaccine trials volunteer register and was quite disappointed not to have been chosen - so far!!!

We will definitely be stepping forward. I would struggle to understand why anyone would refuse a vaccine that could well save their life or prevent life changing symptoms.

Ditto! We would have it too but I fear we'll be down the list due to our youthfulness!👴🤶👴🤶 In our 60's. Let's all be positive about the vaccine with family and friends. I never blinked about getting the children vaccinated for measles etc nor did we worry about vaccinations when travelling to some pretty scary countries in the Far and Middle East. Vaccines have saved millions of lives across our planet......this one will save many more.💑👩❤️👩👨❤️👨💏👩❤️💋👩👨❤️💋👨 Fond regards to all, BT.

I agree with everyone. The vaccine will potentially save thousands of lives so why would you not want it.

My friend & her hubby are having their 1st jab next week, and 2nd Jab early Jan, they were so pleased to get the phone call asking them to go, but nearby neighbours (4) have also said they do not want it, I don't understand why? It appears in UK we are only getting 20m of vaccine from our order of 40m due to lack of raw materials, and so far only 800.000 received, think UK population is around 69m, so lots will be awaiting the Oxford vaccine, which is now not as effective as stated, so we are still in the mire for many months Re Spain does anyone understand the new BOE rules about travel from today, trying to read through it and it seems children under 6 no PCR needed, but you can now take a blood test TMA which is cheaper than the PCR.. some borders closed, some open, and guessing things will be worse from Jan 1st However we are still 'hoping' to fly over for Spring visit but keep with 90days..if they will let us in.. x

Hi all. I've been logging into Andalucia.com for all recent updates regarding Coronavirus. It's really helpful and quite easy to read! There is also a Forum for people to post (very confusing) stuff so I don't bother with that any more! Hope you find the website helpful and apologies if you are already aware of it. Fond regards to all, BT.

I use that website too, BT. Very detailed information regarding covid infection rates in Andalucia.
Current cases/deaths along the Costa, if being recorded accurately, are very low compared to my home town of Oldham even though figures here have dropped dramatically in recent weeks.
