I noticed an advert on TV yesterday by the Andalucía Tourist board advertising Andalucía as a holiday destination for 2021. They are obviously looking for UK visitors to return which is a good sign.

We have flights booked in February but we don't expect to go. We will travel when our Government says it it safe to do so. Until then we will still make our plans (dreams!) to go "home". I have a suitcase full of "essentials for Spain" in the loft and hope that I can take it in 2021. Meanwhile, back to the webcams.....................
Keep safe everyone, this virus is going crazy in my part of our world. Our local hospital has no beds and people are being treated in ambulances. So sad.

Good point Neil. I would need the current restrictions to be lifted both at home and abroad and Govt guidelines to be updated to approve travl. To travel now (even if allowed) would be pointless with the current restrictions in Spain.
I guess we have to put our trust in the government....which coming from N Ireland I would find incredibly difficult 😂.
I've had flights cancelled in Oct. Changed to Jan and then Feb only to also have both cancelled. Our next scheduled is 30th March but I doubt that will go ahead. Also I suppose when the airlines start flying again people will slowly start to return and confidence will start to rebuild.........hopefully.

We are hoping that by end of March some restrictions will have lifted, Robert we like you, were hoping for end of March travel to Spain?? still trying to stay positive, and praying the Oxford vaccine can roll out in very large batches, with the staff ready to give the injections, but would only travel if safe to do so.. We check weather web cams daily, just to get our CDS fix..  xx |

We're booked in for August! Really hoping things are much more figured out by then. We've resorted to finding CdS episodes of A Place In The Sun to get our fix. I really need to get back this year.

Nicke think August things will be much different if Spain can roll out its vaccines, we know our Spring trip is off, feel its safer to stay put until we get our vaccine, however if our rental apt is available in Autumn we may take a trip over..x
Benal figures up today by 30, and couple of bars closed due to covid positive tests, but numbers still lower than Wednesday, hoping things improve for all soon.xx

We have flights booked for April, May, June and July!!! All with easyJet who appear to be in serious trouble if the airline doesn't get financial aid. It will be just our luck if we can go but there are no flights!!!!! We were in Benal this time last year and spent a few days on the beach.........seems a lifetime away now!
Sorry to hear the Benal figures are up but comparatively speaking they remain low.
Rosebush, how is the vaccination rate going in your part of our world? And how is Benal Val??!!

Hi B.T We have just booked our vaccines for Sunday 7th Feb, got my letter this morning, so only having to wait 4days, so feel in our area things are going well with vaccines, but new cases have been high, don't know how we never see more than 4 people about when we take our walk..however numbers are coming down.. Are you in 60's vaccine group if so hope you are called soon.. How is your dear Mom, i presume she has had her jab, if her medication allows..Benal Val had hers' on Saturday we were so pleased she came home in time to get it, although she is missing Benal, as our 2nd jab isn't until April 27th, we doubt we will get any Spring break out there this year  hope you get one of your flights at least to visit, not sure if all we read is true about 'Spain is closed to UK until Aug'.. At present vaccinations out there are really slow, once they have done all over 70's, they are doing teachers & food pickers, then over 60's, so it will be end of August before all adults get their first vaccine, so my friend heard on the radio about an hour ago... Have you seen any Covid figures for Benal today, i know it was high 800's at weekend don't know how it got so high every video see shows everyone wear masks per the law, so it must be in bar's & restaurants folks are letting down their guard, however if all seems better by Autumn we may book a trip over, we are so missing the place.... normally by now i have 80% of my packing done, and all the bedrooms look like a tip  Take Care..xx |
