What are they doing differently in Torremolinos? Their 7-day infection rate has dropped to 61 today (the 4th consecutive day under 100).

Our cleaner lives in Torre and often sends me photos of deserted streets and railway platforms....folk are just not going out. He also sends me photos of closed bars and restaurants, many of them permanently.😢😢 He also describes how pro-active the local Police are in stopping vehicles to question drivers about their reason for being out and patrolling at night to prevent "bottle parties" in the street. Madrid doesn't have the same strict regulations and the infection rate there is still horrendous.
In my London Borough the infection rate is going down, due I think, to folk sticking to the rules and not going out and about. Even those I used to describe as Covidiots are at last getting the message. We also have Covid Marshalls patrolling the streets and checking shops and take-aways to ensure people are sticking to the rules. Generally speaking the Covid Marshalls are well received and publish figures weekly about the number of face masks given out and any action taken. I remain optimistic! Keep safe all, BT.
