Sur in English has an article about Benalmadena which is quite comprehensive. Unfortunately the paper has used quite antiquated photos but it's still a decent read!

Hi Rosebush!
Let us comfort ourselves with the fact that the weather isn't too good on the CDS at the moment! Although yesterday I did see a short video of the Paseo near Beny's, Mare Nostrum and Palm 5 and noticed that Miguel (opposite Mare Nostrum) has started to put the parasols up on the beach!! Currently having problems with Caixa bank.......grrrrrr!!! Won't allow me access to my account on-line but sent me notification of the new charges which are daylight robbery!
My 89 year old (housebound) Mum is still waiting for her vaccination which is pretty shocking, especially as my daughter (her granddaughter) is having hers this week. Calls and e-mails to her GP meet with unkept promises. Asked him if Mum is the only 89 year old in the country not to be offered the jab yet and he said his nurses are very busy! If I wasn't 70 miles away and could legitimately travel I would be camped on his doorstep! Anyway this has nothing to do with Benal but thanks for asking Rosebush!

B.T so pleased at last your Moms got her 1st vaccine hope she had no side effects, most just getting sore arm, or mild flu.. Just re read this article again, so nice to read news of Benal, i am also watching re runs of life in the sun, and brits abroad  The Covid figures in Benal have really dropped, seems along the coast its only Estepona/Marbella that are struggling all Benal bars are hoping to go into level 2 next Friday so can open until 9.30pm.. We have friends in Benal who are so fed up of the weather now, think its been grey skies for 10days, but warm unless its been windy, odd weather as we are normally out there from Feb 20th and spend the first month just walking miles and its mostly been sunny  Wonder if any rules will drop this summer for travel, if Spain rolls out vaccines a bit quicker, as getting PCR's to travel each way, and a further 2 upon returning to UK on day 2 & 8, plus form filling and masks, will put some folks off I am just looking forward to sitting outside a cafe having a coffee  Stay safe everyone..xx |
