Booked today to fly tomorrow (Tues) with EasyJet returning Thu 2nd Sep - shortish trip due to hospital appointments coming up. Thankfully Mrs Chawky is accompanying me ( and it was her idea to come out). She is feeling much better following scare earlier this summer.
We have organised a daysoutandalucia trip to Frigiliana and Nerja and hope to stroll along the paseo.

Great news about your trip Chawky! So pleased your wife is recovering well and able to travel.
Frigiliana and Nerja are lovely.....have you visited them before?
And enjoy the Paseo! No paddling......the jellyfish are the size of dustbin lids!
Have a good holiday and look forward to reading your posts if you get time! Kind regards, BT.

Hi ...time passes too quickly, especially when you are in Benalmadena.
No problems with documentation either way and both EJ flights on time returning last night.
The day out to Frigiliana and Nerja was good. August probably isn't the best time to visit Frigiliana, hilly and hot. But had some nice sweet wines and bought plenty of honey. We didn't see anything of Nerja just went there for a meal and entertainment (Ricky Lavazza who was excellent), a few cavas and beer and a little dancing, A really good night. We will go back and do a couple of nights and see the caves at some point.
A lovely day in Malaga with lunch at our favourite restaurant Lechuga( I had the pigs cheek, a look around the market in the morning and afternoon in the port.
Most paseo strolls were in the evening making our way to La Carihuela, with drinks at playa miguel.
I had a couple of afternoons on the beach while Mrs Chawky had a siesta, the breeze and sea both very welcoming. Our pool is back in order, but the sunbeds still haven't been put back for covid reasons!
I had a particularly good chicken balti at the Plaza Grill (opposite Woodies).
Hoping to go for longer next time.

Thanks for the update on your holiday Chawky! We like Rikki Lavazza too! He's at Salon Varieties (spelling may be wrong!) later this month singing songs from musicals. Glad you enjoyed Malaga...we always find somewhere new to eat or visit. Kind regards, BT.

Thanks for the write up Chawky. I liked Frigliana but you do need your hiking boots.😂 Unless you jump on the little train.🤔

Hi Chawky, Pleased you and Mrs C had a good time in Benal, and enjoyed a day in Malaga, we have never been in Lechuga but have eaten at Pepe's next door, we normally leave the castle area and walk under the noisy bridge to the Plaza, then see what bar looks lively and pop in, if they all look lively its a great afternoon Don't know how you coped with the heat though anything over 23c is hot for me We have Plaza grill on our list to try next visit, we normally use King of Curries for a Balti, foods lovely there too.. Shame you have no sunbeds at pool area, our little complex last July put sanitzer on table by every sunbed with paper cleaning towels to clean after use, and every morning / evening the gardener sprayed everywhere, at a cost of course! but only guests there were folks like us waiting for flights home due to Covid and owners travelling within Spain, maybe in a larger complex this regime not possible Just read Covid cases along CDS very low, so that's great news, wish it was the same in UK !! Hope you have another visit planned soon..x
