I'm pleased to see over last few weeks travel has been made easier, i know Covid is still around, but feel we are starting to live with it..just need to tell myself to do this! I know in Spain masks not needed outdoors from Feb 10th although the rule still awaiting the rubber stamp! this is good news, for folks strolling along the paseo, at least if its not too crowded... New Covid cases out there appear to come from children, but did read well over 50% of 5-11year olds are now vaccinated, I really want to visit as planned but still a bit anxious, i know 4 tourists in Benal who caught Covid over last 3 weeks, each saying it felt like flu, ill for 3 days then just tired for next few days, but of course no way to report the fact, so new cases out there must be from folks who are 'registered' with Spanish health authority, so figures are just guess work.. Checked our flight and in last 4 weeks seat bookings went up from 25 to 95, so confidence in flying seems to be rising, also the flight now very much cheaper than when we booked last May! Feel sorry though for families with 12yr olds who cannot get their second vaccine in time for half term, but progress being made in NHS now giving this age group a vaccine certificate... Does anyone know how long the credit on bus cards lasts, we normally use again within 9mths, so no sure if it will re activate after 21mths? we topped up in 2020 with €30 but due to Covid still have that amount on card We have to decide by this weekend whether we make the trip or not, we will lose money for flights or maybe we can move them to 2023, need to get my head into gear!! Take care..xx

You should still be able to use the credit on your bus card as I believe it never expires.
You should also be able to change your flights if that's your decision. Personally I would go and enjoy the trip but I realise that everyone has different factors that may need to be taken into account.
We are at the airport now waiting on being called for our fight.
Nearly a disaster as I remembered at 2am about the Spth forms. 🤣. What can I say, I'm a very busy man 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
I'm going to change my name to Chawky for the next two weeks and try to chill.🤣🤣

Enjoy your trip Robert.
@ Rosebush - My bus pass worked fine on my last trip, but I can't remember the gap since last use, but quite awhile. I'd make the the trip if I were you; if you don't go one of two things will happen; 1, Covid situation gets better and prices rise, or 2, Covid situation gets worse and you'd wish you'd gone when you could!

Robert hope you are enjoying Benal, seems to be forecasting cool mornings then hot enough to sit out for lunch, my friend was in Fountain SQ yesterday and said it was packed at noon and still the same when she left at 3pm We decided yesterday after more restrictions eased for travel 12-18yr olds that things appear to be getting better, so we are taking our Spring break out there, within 15mins of agreement to go, hubby had travel insurance booked, he did get a quote on Thurs after news of rules for masks outside had gone, and yesterday 24hrs later got an email offering 20% discount off his quote a saving of over £60, he said "its a sign we should go" contacted apt owner, he was pleased, no one been out there to stay at apt since end of Aug.. Just got suitcases down from loft to start packing some stuff over weekend, still apprehensive about the 3hour flight as over 100 seats booked now, but think we will regret it if we cancel...i am taking lots of LFT test kits so can check our Covid status frequently.. Robert does it take an hour to fill in a Spth form, folks on another site imply its confusing to do i know you get the QR code sent to your email, do you need to wait for the email, before you can complete the form? i am doing separate one for hubby so dreading getting stuff wrong Has anyone during their trips so far been asked for Covid passes for bars/cafe/ restaurants, NHS sent me 2 one labelled Domestic, is this the one for hospitality? Have a nice weekend whatever you are doing..xx

Haven't been asked once anywhere for a Covid certificate before entering a bat and heard today that t is going to stop anyway.
It took about 15 mins to fill out the Spth form and you can put your husband's on your phone if you have the app. Once you fill in the details and the form.os accepted you will receive an email immediately. The email has a link which will be the Qr code. Print it out
The QR code will also then appear on the App. Both are acceptable at Malaga.

Hi Robert, great to hear covid passes are going soon for hospitality, seems like only a few bars were asking for them i have put passes in hand luggage in case ruling still in place when we arrive.. Have checked U-tube on how to fill out Spth form still a bit confused it appears to ask same questions on most pages! Hope you are chilling and not working Have a good day everyone, in West Mids we have rain, high winds, and its so dark have all my light on!! xx

Hi Rosebush. We are just coming to the end of our first week of this Winters visit. Not had any problems or requests to see vax certificate in bars etc but not heard that it is actually being done away with. Spanish entry form is quite quick & easy but take a look at the guide first. Things are almost back to normal here but just like England, prices have gone up a bit since October. All said, we feel far safer here than we do at home but having a mask on for 5 hours at airport/plane/airport/train to get to the apartment is a bit of a bind.

Rosebush the Spth form asks you for your UK address first then you destination address.

Thanks Robert & John, looking at vids explaining about the forms, it does seem to ask the same things on each page, but at least i feel more confident now at doing it, i got totally confused about the Security code & the QR code, but then realised they were 2 different things i have a list of the stuff i need to hand, and will take it slowly at 72 the brain needs extra time to process things I printed our boarding cards yesterday, Jet2 always allowed you to print off the return journey one's as well, but don't do that now, so will have to do them in print shop for return, Hubby has link to NHS to print off Covid certs, we are pleased these not needed now to enter bar's etc, but John like you i will find it hard to cope with the mask wearing for 8hrs + it will be a nightmare, i can only stay in a shop for 15mins and feel suffocated, but the prize at the end will be Benal sunshine for 3mths....hopefully by May when we return home it will be 'mask free travel'...xx

Hola Rosebush. If you use phone or tablet to check ls for your return flight with Jet2 you can get the boarding pass downloaded on to it and don’t need to print it first. Also, as long as you are checked in they will give you a free one at the airport (unlike some others). You are not allowed to check in until you have your UK Locater form if you still need one by you come home. Hope it all goes smoothly for you, it’s definitely worth it, lovely sunny & warm here although they are desperate for some rain.

Thanks John, we are really hoping UK locator forms are dropped before end of May, we use the print shop in the Gamonal so if that's still there will use for boarding passes, don't know why airline have stopped allowing the printing of both cards..
Nice to hear its sunny and warm out there, but hope when rain does come its throughout the night, have been there in May and its poured down for 6 days non stop, all the roads like rivers!
Enjoy the rest of your stay..x
