Great report Rosebush. I saw on Facebook that they were chopping down palm trees in Palm Tree Avenue. It would be a great shame if they do, is this true?

I was under the impression that the palm trees were to be relocated to the new pedestrianised area.. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

The photos I saw on FB were of stumps left in the ground probably about 3ft high. They didn't take them out with the roots, so won't have been replanted. Shame

Not been on for a few weeks only thing to talk about was the weather which has been awful, rain, high freezing winds, sand storms, very low temps,  its been the worst Spring since 1943!! had around 10 warm days out of 10weeks

However things have changed in last few days, no rain, and winds are light, still cool though after 8pm, although we did sit out on balcony this evening until 9pm, its been a very hot day..

Normally we try and use Spanish bar's, as we love their food & coffee, but this year used more Brit bars as they were nearer, and it was to cold to walk very far, our local is Potters Lodge, which is lovely and we have used it since it opened, we have for first time tried Fado's & Hazy Days in Bonanza Sq, good food & snacks, but not nice Rioja

Been twice to bar in Tribuna Sq next to bar Espana called El Cao, the owners are from Argentina, food good in there and Rioja okay-ish

Also used Buena Uva and Bar before that cannot think of the name, ( walk passed train station and keep going both bars are on the left) just for coffee, cana tapas, and pitufo tomato aciete, all okay, and its great sitting with the locals, cannot hear yourself speak also if you continue on passed these bars to the traffic island, cross over, and you can feed the ducks in the stream there

Antonio's and Espiga still doing well and Gamonal bar, Mary El Rincon is now being run by the owner as Maria left, due to large rent increase which she could not afford

We are try La Terraza in Palm Tree Ave this week, it got great reviews for tapas and full meals, and desserts look very nice..

Sadly its still masks on all public transport, which i hate i feel suffocated in them plus some of the masks folk wear are really tatty & dirty!

Hope you have a good flight, its still chaos at Malaga airport, if more than 2 flights land at same time, but friends came out from B'ham airport this morning on 7am flight! got there at 4am and only just made it to the gate, queues at every check point

Hi Chawky, you will be here now, but just to confirm Potters still closing at weekends, they have a house up in the hills and spend family weekends there, David retires end of next year so think they are winding down a bit

C.B's is closed until Friday, Sally having a few jobs done, her normal closing day is still Thursday's. 

Don't know if you use Ardission but they are closing now on Mondays..
