Hi All,
We are on our 4th day in Benal arrived Monday lunchtime, sunny and warm until today 3pm, now windy and some rain..
Malaga airport at 11am was chaos, about 15 flights all landing with an hour, we had to stay and circle for 15mins before permission to land, then hit the queues, finally reaching passport control to find 6 desks available, but only 3 in use, and just one of them non EU!! the officers did call a few over to the EU desk, so may folks complaining, do not understand when airport knows they are due a very busy period, why they do not have all desks open!! the sooner we are through the sooner we are spending our money and boosting the economy:D every Spth form scanned, but lots of desks dealing with this so only took few minutes, Covid certs not asked for, but Jet2 on check in desk did scan everything, so maybe this data was already logged...
Its still mask wearing indoors and on public transport, if you do not have a mask the driver questions you, have seen folks denied a ticket I hate the masks and cannot wait for them to be gone, did read airlines are pushing for this as well...
Prices have risen here but still doesn't feel as expensive as UK..all owners of bars, cafes, and restaurants very happy to see you a great night put on with live music in Sq by church for St David's Day, all funds from raffle to charity, so many people there, atmosphere electric
Went into Torre on Tuesday new train station there still very much a work in progress, might be open in Summer? Bus journey takes a little longer due to new single traffic lanes, but centre palm tree's all along the main road still there for now, but the Mayor does want them gone, would be a crime to chop them down
Popped up to the new Carrefor hoping to find some French cuisine. but it looks exactly the same as before when it was Supersol
Have done so much walking for 4 days my poor old joints are complaining, so its a rest day tomorrow..
Enjoy your weekend..xx
