Hi, all the things (events & shows) going on New Year’s Eve but me and my better half arrive on New Year’s Day for a four night stay. What’s it like around arroyo on 1st January, anything happening ? We’ll definitely be visiting the new lights in Malaga before we fly home.🎄🇪🇸

New Years Day is a holiday so most large shops banks and supermarkets will be closed. Most bars and restaurants should be open as normal. There are parades for the Three Kings in Arroyo and the Pueblo on 5th Jan. ( 6th is another holiday ). Christmas Village market is ongoing in Puerto Marina until the 5th Jan.

Thanks Robert, we’ll definitely pop down to the marina for the market. My father in law arrives on 5th Jan and is planning on taking the train into Malaga that night to see the lights. No doubt it will be very busy with the parade that night too, I will warn him!

Probably the busiest night of the year in Malaga. There will be massive crowds and the trains will be packed. #sardines 🤣
