We left Setenil around 11.30 am this morning and headed for Ronda. It was only a 30 min drive and traffic was light. Got parked quite close to the centre easily enough. Headed for the Old Town on the other side of the bridge for a walk around. Had lunch then another walk before leaving this time heading for Juzcar which was another 30 min drive although the road was tricky. Coffee stop there then back to the motorway and home to Renal. .

The cave house looked amazing and great décor!!
We love Ronda, it offers a lovely day out just strolling around, you have been very lucky with the sunshine can you still walk down one side of the ravine and back up the other side, did this many years ago and loved it..
Enjoy the rest of your stay ..x

We went to the old town in Ronda and walked back along the bottom of the ravine. We couldn't see the bridge but ended up in the main shopping street and came out at the Bull ring.
Last night we went into Arroyo for a few beers and ended up booking flights for the beginning of April for ourselves, two daughters and grandchild. ( it seemed like a good idea at the time 🤣🤣).
Today I went back to Casa de la Cultura armed with a copy of my NIE. Took a number and waited my turn. It was the same guy as last time so I gave him the form and he grunted. He didn't ask me for anything else so with a smirk I said NIE and slid the certificate over the counter. He looked at me and with a smirk in return said " passport " 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I hadn't got the original passport with me but luckily I had a small credit card size picture of the photo page and he accepted that. He grunted again pressed a few buttons, took some copies, said " it's done" and gave me back the paperwork.........Watch this space 🤣🤣🤣. Then off we went for a shandy.
It's the first time in over 10 years that I have actually completed my list of things that need to be be done in a single trip ( hopefully) so I'm allowed to celebrate.🤣

Fabulous photos Robert! Have never heard of Setenil but as we don't drive when in Benal I doubt we will get there! Glad you enjoyed Ronda. Do you know if the train station has re-opened??? And delighted about the car-tax! Bureaucracy is still alive and thriving in Spain! Kind regards, BT

Fri and Sat were spent around the apartment cleaning , doing odd jobs and generally preparing for the months ahead. Friday evening we went to La Terrazza on Palm Tree Av. It's almost impossible to spot as it's tucked in behind the Belfry. We had a very nice meal followed by drinks in Caesar's Bar next door. Sat evening we tried Ocampo and had another beautiful meal. This is in Calle Lanzarote in Arroyo, just around the corner from Santander on Garcia Lorca. Early start on Sunday morning as we had an 11.40 flight home. Until the next time. La Terrazza. If you click on the pictures they open the correct way round.
