Up at some ungodly hour , 3.15am and off to the airport for a 06.50 flight to Malaga. Flight was on time and landed at 11am. There was a long queue at passport control but we swerved that by going straight to the desk as most other people were queuing for the scanners. Train to Arroyo, again long queues of people fighting with the ticket machines. Couldn't swerve this so had to wait in line. Straight to bar Torreon for breakfast. The sun was out and it was warm. Then off to our apartment. The other half had a catch up on her sleep whilst I unpacked and went shopping, weeded all the flower beds and fixed a shutter that had stuck up and needed new parts. Had friends call later for a few drinks in the sun. Then it was a taxi into Arroyo to meet different friends for drinks, dinner at Oliver's, drinks and more drinks before getting a taxi home at 2.30am. I managed to pull myself out of bed at 11am on Saturday morning and started preparing the hallway for painting. We had some paint but not enough so I sent the better half off to get more paint and masking tape whilst I started to paint. Stopped for a sandwich in the afternoon before moving into the first bedroom. Tided up around 6pm quite pleased that I done so much in one day #aheadofschedule
That evening we got a bus to the Pueblo and had a walk around before meeting friends for a special birthday dinner in Sopranos. Taxi home for more drinks in our friends apartment. It was an early night with a 01.30 finish.
On the go early this morning. We were planning on going to the Marina to see the Kings arrive but as I'm the only one up that obviously won't happen so I've taken the opportunity to update all of you before I start painting in the second bedroom. Who said this was a holiday 😭😭😭.

Ye Gods Robert! You do more in 48 hours than I do in a fortnight!! Given up painting and get in a man who is far more efficient than I and who also cleans up afterwards! Have a lovely "holiday" and enjoy our little piece of paradise. We hope to be out on the 30th January for a week, my Mum's health permitting. Kind regards, BT. 😎😎

Got a bus ( standing room only)into Arroyo and had a walk around before ending up in Oliver's for a few beers. Friend arrived and we tortured the poor man until we got a table. We were able to watch the parade going past whilst wd ate dinner and dodged flying sweets. Arroyo was packed and it was good to see all the children enjoying the atmosphere. Wd finished off a great evening with coffee in Antonio's. Monday was a day off so we walked down to the coast and had a beer in Maracas. Very nice bug nog worth the €4. ( and people complain about Yucas ,). Then it was on to Weatherspains where we had lunch and another few beers. We turned left as we got to the Marina and stopped in Rubens to top up. Got 1.1625 Euros to the £.After that if was uphill to Bonanza which was dead with almost everywhere closed. Then up to Arroyo for a coffee and finally a bus home for an early night. Shopping tomorrow and she needs her rest. 🤣

Good to know you are both having a lazy relaxing holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always sorry to learn that Bonanza Sq is without atmosphere at this time of year but in reality there are so few people about. I reckon you got a decent exchange rate! Locally (Essex) it's 1.1350 but we are venturing into London tomorrow where the rates are often better. Usually wait until we get to Rubens though. Maracas....love it! Been watching the webcam....lovely sunset tonight! Happy shopping! BT.

Yes it's been lovely today again although gets cool around 6pm.
We changed our car in July and in October we tried to change the direct debit to pay the road tax. As Traffico had't passed the information on this was not possible so we tried again this morning. Same thing. We were told to come back in Feb. I said we woukdn't be back until April. His answer.......that's too late. 😭😭😭😭😭. Another red tape nightmare. He then produced a form that we could fill in and leave in Casa de la Cultura so problem solved ( I bet it isn't )
Dropped some stuff off in the Cudeca shop then after visiting a few local shops the other half found a new sofa that she liked , well almost liked as she had to have a different colour 🤣and a matching chair 😱. But it saved us from running back and forward between Dfs in Fuengirola and Conforma near Malaga. It's getting delivered in April so an excuse for another trip. Every cloud 🤣🤣🤣. Then off to Dunnes. It's traditional but no lamps this time.
Tonight we have some friends coming over for drinks and tomorrow we are off on a little trip. More later.

With everything Spain is famous for Red Tape must be top of the list hope the form you filled in solves the problem.. How kind of your better half saving 'you' time in choosing a new sofa and chair so quickly
Pleased weather is being kind, hope sun stays around now right through Spring into Summer
Enjoy your evening with friends, await info on your little trip tomorrow? xx

There it is right there on the form where it says NIE number.
" No we need to see the certificate".

Today's day trip was a drive up to Setenil, not far from Ronda. If took about 1 hr 20 mins from Malaga. Nice drive with decent roads and not much traffic. Setenil is famous for it's " cave houses " Arrived around 1.30, parking is a little difficult bug thd Village was beautiful and reasonably busy. We had lunch then a walk around. It's very hilly anx very Spanish. Although if was busy during the day with z good choice or restaurants mist of them closed at 5.30 so there wasn't much happening in the evening. We did find a bar for a few drinks and some food before retiring to our " cave house " for the night.
