Some bad weather approaching. It was snowing in the Mijas mountains today over La Bola.

My friend phoned this evening and said it's absolutely freezing at the mo. She's in Benalmadena pueblo.

I feel sorry for anyone who has just started a week’s holiday. Saw a post on FB where a new arrival was asking where she could buy jumpers and coats.

You'd think they would do at least a little homework before going. She was also booked to do the Caminito del Rey so really should have been more prepared.

Just been reminded why we don't go to Benal at this time of the year! Use more gas and electricity in a week than the rest of the year! However.....we are due to travel out on the 30th for a week as we were going to attend the Annual General Meeting for our apartment complex. And what do the committee do?  Change the date!😬😬 But we are being joined by friends on our last day/night so that's worth the trip! Caminito del Rey in January??? Good luck to her!! Why don't people do their research or even better, join this Forum and ask the right questions? A few years ago we went on a cruise to Northern Norway and half the passengers were in revolt as they hadn't been told to pack and prepare for cold weather! Hubby and I were warm and cosy on the Russian border in 4 feet of snow! Freezing in Essex but beautifully sunny. Kind regards to all, BT. |

I think some of the problems are if people are looking at FB. Even when it's really cold, I see people posting pictures of sunshine and saying how warm it is. What holidaymakers don't realise is it may only be like that for a couple of hours mid day and in a shelterd position.

Shame as it was raining today as well, and looks like its wet until around Sunday, cannot believe folks don't do a bit of research, even in March/April you get wet and cold days if its windy..
We are due out next month and I travel in jeans, light weight padded coat and boots just for the cooler nights and wet days I know will happen during Spring, however even on such days, so many café & bars around to sit and socialise  x |
