Glad to hear everyone is well. Sorry to hear about your mum Bt. It must be hard for everyone at the minute.
My project's have come to a stop at the minute as I have started working in Tesco's. Short term contract for three mornings a week. 4am start so sleep patterns are up the left. Also plenty of overtime at present so I'm taking it whilst it's available. I think my industry ( driving instructor) will be one of the last to return to work, if and when they figure out how we're going to do it, so I'm keeping my options open at the minute. 👍

Good to hear from everyone. I’ve returned to my volunteer position at the local hospice (2 mornings a week). I man reception which mainly consists of telephone duties as very very few visitors are allowed. There is a small amount of contact with admin and nursing staff but everyone is very aware of cleanliness and social distancing. Having been on our own version of lockdown for nearly 9 weeks now I’m glad of the change of environment.
Robert, just a thought about driving schools, you and the learner could drive in separate cars. Donald Trump told me that was a great idea!

Looks like Málaga Province is moving to phase 1 on Monday morning. Bars are allowed to open their terraces but the original 30% has been increased to 50%. Lets hope everyone obeys the rules.

I'm sure folk will stick to the rules because the local police will be checking up on them. I think we saw throughout the strict lock down in Benal and surrounding areas that most people adhered to the rules. South Beach is due to open on Monday, one of my favourite restaurants. Waiting to hear about "Once Upon a Time". Just heard my poor Mum has been tested positive for Covid-19..................😢😢😢😢 Stay safe everyone. Kind regards, BT

Neil and Robert, glad to know that you are engaged in some really worthwhile tasks. What would we do without our supermarkets? Neil, so pleased you are back volunteering in the hospice. We give a lot of support to our local hospice which sadly is running out of funds due to no fund-raising events. Fond regards, BT.

Thanks Rosebush! Nanny Nine Lives is doing okay so far!! She's even planning her return to her own home on June 1st which involves plenty of phone calls by me to Social Services and others. She has NO medical checks apart from temperature which is normal. Anyway, how are you and your husband? Have you found somewhere for a Spanish coffee yet?! Our favourite coffee-stop was the little place in the Marina where they sell bread to feed the fish. Just had another flight cancelled by EasyJet.😢😢😢 Don't like to think about our poor apartment! No doors or windows opened since the beginning of March.............window box flowers probably deceased but these are minor matters compared to what so many people have been through and are still going through. Our daughter is due to go to Australia for Christmas to visit my family over there. She heard this week that Australia may not allow international flights until next year. More 😢😢😢 Keep in touch dear Rosebush! Fond regards, BT.

Hi Folks
We are now at the end of week 1 in Phase 1 and Benal has more signs of life, with more bars opening tomorrow, and we enter Phase 2 on June 1st, when indoor space can be used up to 30-50% capacity, and movement allowed from Province to Province, on a personal note it's the extra movement that has a lot of us scared, we all have fingers crossed we do not see a spike in new cases if everyone rushes down to the coast but if all goes well 13 airports will open on June 15th, to bring home stranded Spaniards and Residencia holders, our hope is the airlines bringing folks home, will also be allowed to take passengers back, if so, and they are UK bound we can get home, if not, we still have the option of going down to GIB...
Monday its hoped Sanchez gives details of foreigners being allowed into Spain on July 1st, and if UK is on the list, have to say on lots of social media sites re Spain the Brits are not welcome, and seeing lots of news about UK behaviour I'm not surprised, but Spain has also had lots of demonstrations going on in some of the Capitals, but sadly UK has had 'daily news' about the flouting of rules, but police there were not given the powers as police here in Spain were given, however that leads into politics so best not to go down that road
Last night we had our first late evening stroll 8.30pm, no plans to stay out, and not many folks here, but a pleasant atmosphere filled the air around the open bars/restaurants so decided to eat out, it was still so hot but made it to Gamonal and legs gave out so stopped at Bar Ardisson French owners who are lovely, good food and wine, stayed until 11pm, and still folks out, felt like a proper Saturday night out in Spain but with 20% of the people....oh and we would not have been heading home at 11pm..
B.T hope you Mom is still doing well, and you get to speak to her, and hope everyone gets to visit Benal soon, especially if you have your own apts and do not have to use hotels, as it appears hotels for a while will have some restrictions, no gardens, pool use, A1 service etc..
Hopefully in a few months, although saddened by the dreadful loss of life.. we will all feel much safer and somehow able to get on with the new normal..
Stay Safe..xxx
